 Learning and Writing Center

‚ÄčThe Marian University Learning and Writing Center is located on the second floor of the Administration Building.  The Center specialists provide software applications and materials in an optimal learning space that serves individual students as well as small groups. In addition to computer programs and small group learning opportunities, learning specialists provide one-on-one assistance to Marian students.

Services include:

  • academic assistance in math, science, writing, and reading/study skills
  • help students develop skills and knowledge necessary for meeting academic goals
  • assistance to students who speak English as their second language
  • resources for Education majors preparing for the Praxis (PPST) exam
  • resources for nursing students preparing for the NCLEX exam

Who should come?

  • Students struggling with understanding their texts/reading assignments.
  • Students wanting to improve their reading and/or writing skills.
  • Students needing to build their math skills or needing help with math courses MAT 001 through MAT 100s.
  • Students needing to pass the Praxis Core tests.
  • Students wanting to improve science test scores.
  • Students struggling with understanding nursing concepts and content.
  • Students wanting to improve nursing comprehension and test scores.
