Help! There's no sound and/or voice! Auditorium, T205, T208

  1. If no sound, check to make sure that the Program Speakers are not muted. After turning the system on, you will see two buttons in the upper right hand corner of the screen. One is for muting the Program Speakers and one is for muting the Voice Speakers. If the button next to Program Speakers has "MUTE" written in red, then the speakers have been muted. To un-mute the speakers, tap the button once, and the writing in the button should change from red to blue. This is also true for the Voice Speakers.
  2. If you need to turn the volume up or down for either the Program or the Voice Speakers, you need to use the arrows located in the vertical bars right next to the words Program Speakers and Voice Speakers. Tap the up arrow to raise the volume and tap the lower part of the vertical bar to lower the volume.
  3. It is basically the same procedure in T205 and T208 except you have to touch the “Room Volume” button to access the Program and Voice Speakers’ volume controls.

T212, T213, T217, and T218

  1. Once the system is turned on and you are unable to get sound from the computer, please check the following:
    • Check to make sure that the audio cable is connected to the computer as well as to the jack on the wall.
    • Check to make sure that the sound on the computer is not muted and that the sound is turned up.
    • Check the “Room Volume” button on the touch panel on the wall to make sure that the volume is not muted and that it is turned up high enough to be heard.
  2. If none of the above apply, notify the HelpDesk so that a member of the IT Department can address the issue during the next business day when the room is vacant.

Help! The VCR, DVD or CD Player is not working!
  1. Check to make sure that the main system has been turned on and that the correct video selection has been made.
  2. Check to make sure that the correct device has been turned on. The “ON” buttons are usually located on the left side of the device.
  3. Check to make sure that you have input the correct media into the device.
  4. In most cases, you are able to control the device from the touch panel, but if it doesn’t work, try using the controls located on the device to see if the device will work.
  5. If unable to get the device to work after following the steps above, notify the HelpDesk so that a member of the IT Department can address the issue during the next business day when the room is vacant.
