Special Olympics Competition – 09/13/22

The Arc of Fond du Lac is hosting a Special Olympics bowling competition on Tuesday, September 13th at Ledgeview Lanes (just down the road from Marian University) from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Arc is looking for volunteers to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities bowl. Volunteer will socialize with bowlers, cheer, and help individuals bowl. Volunteers will need to complete a background check and fill out a volunteer application form.

Birthday Bingo – 09/14/22

The Arc of Fond du Lac is hosting a tie-dye themed bingo event at the American Legion Hall in Fond du Lac on Wednesday, September 14th. Volunteers are needed to assist with the operation of bingo from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Volunteers will need to complete a background check and fill out an volunteer application form.

Adopt-A-Highway Clean Up – 09/16/22

Holy Family Church is looking for volunteers to help pick up garbage along the highway they "adopted." This cleanup will be taking place on Friday September 16th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Volunteers will meet at the Holy Family Church, specifically at the entry of the offices and take a shuttle to the clean up site.

Latin Flavor – 09/18/22

Holy Family Church is holding a community cultural experience to raise funds for Hispanic community projects in Fond du Lac. This event is a multi-cultural food event that runs from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Volunteers are needed to help serve food, set-up, and clean-up. Volunteers will meet at the Holy Family Church on Sunday, September 18th. Volunteers can serve the whole time or work a specific shift.

The Family Resource Center of Fond du Lac County (FRC) hosts respite care for foster families. Respite care allows foster parent a break, while providing foster children activities and opportunities to have fun. Volunteers are needed to just play and engage with children. Volunteers will help staff watch over the children and help them complete activities. Respite care takes place at the Fond du Lac Children's Museum at 75 W Scott St, Fond du Lac, WI. Volunteers will need to complete a background check and fill out a volunteer application form. Please email the contact below to start this process.

Shifts Available:

9:00 am – 12:00 pm or 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Volunteers may also work the entire time if they would like too.

Holy Family Church is hosting an Oktoberfest event focused on community building. This event will last from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Volunteers are needed to help serve food, set up, and clean up. Lights on After School (Haunted House) - 10/20/22

The Boys and Girls Club of Fond du Lac are hosting a Lights on Afterschool Event at the Boys & Girls Club (Johnsonville Club) with the YMCA on Thursday, October 20th. The Boys & Girls Club is looking for volunteers to help decorate the classrooms during the day anytime between 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and volunteer actors for the event itself from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Volunteers will need to complete a background check and fill out a volunteer application form.

Warming Shelter Set-Up – 10/27, 10/28

The Salvation Army needs volunteers to help set up the warming shelter for the homeless. Volunteers will be setting up beds and moving them into place. Volunteers will also complete the necessary tasks needed for the warming shelter to open. Volunteer are need on October 27th and 28th from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at 237 N. Macy St, Fond du Lac, WI. Volunteers will need to complete a background check and fill out a volunteer application form.

Coat Set Up –  11/07, 11/09, 11/11

The Salvation Army needs volunteers to help organize coat donations into organized racks for adults and children. Volunteers will also help prepare for the start of the distribution. Volunteers are need on November 7, 9, and the 11th from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at 237 N. Macy St, Fond du Lac, WI. Volunteers will need to complete a background check and fill out a volunteer application form.

The Salvation Army needs volunteers to help walking our clients through our collection to pick out winter coats. Volunteer may also organize coat donations into organized racks. Volunteers will be organizing Angel Tree, Adopt-a-Family, Christmas Food, and Toys for Tots for hundreds of households to pick up on distribution day. Volunteers will need to complete a background check and fill out a volunteer application form.

Shifts Available:

Volunteers are needed from 9:00 am – 11:30 am or 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm
