Recruitment

During formal recruitment, women will have the opportunity to visit with members of each sorority during the course of the week to determine which chapter offers the best fit.  Women will begin by visiting all three sororities and, through a mutual selection process, will eventually have narrowed down to two sororities before being matched with a sorority on the final day of recruitment. The goal of recruitment is to determine if Greek life is for you and where you find the best fit.

Recruitment is a mutual selection process, so while you are determining where you would feel most comfortable, the sororities are also determining the best fit for their organizations. You will be able to rank the sororities after the second day and they will have a certain number of invitations to hand out for the third day’s events. Sometimes, you don’t end up with your first choice! We encourage everyone to keep an open mind and stick with the process. There are plenty of women who end up in a different sorority than they initially would have chosen and now feel they are where they belong.

Monday, September 14th  – Attend three events and meet all of the sororities.
Tuesday, September 15th  - Attend up to three events
Thursday, September 17th - Attend up to two events
Friday, September 18th  - Bid Day

At the conclusion of recruitment, chapters issue bids, which are invitations to join the organization. By accepting a bid, you are accepting membership in a particular sorority. You may not join any other Greek or social organizations. However, you may go through the process and decide not to join any sorority, which is perfectly fine! Recruitment is a great way to meet many women on campus, make new friendships, and learn more about Greek Life.
