He spent 25 years in Public K-12 Education as a teacher, principal and superintendent and two years in philanthropy at the Fond du Lac Area Foundation as executive director.  Aaron has been married to Kelly for 29 years and they have three children, Ethan 19, Lilly 23, Paige 25, and two dogs, Chief (Pomsky) and Honey (Golden Retriever).  He loves yardwork, golfing and hanging out with family and friends.  Forget the fish fry.  Aaron’s favorite food is chicken wings.

Kelly Krause, Director of First Year Experience

Kelly hails from Tustin, WI, an unincorporated town on Lake Poygan.  Alongside education, she is passionate about healing and energy work.  Her fish fry choice is Perch.

Zach Jamieson, Assistant Professor, Chemistry

Perch is his go-to fish in a fish fry, although in a pinch, haddock would suffice.

Katie Fabricius, Director of Math and Science Services

Katie grew up in Fond du Lac and attended St. Norbert College, where she earned her B.S. in Chemistry. She has a wide array of interests, including piano, singing, working out, crochet, and water skiing. She is excited to help all students succeed in higher ed.

Danielle Schaal, Assistant Professor, Biology

Danielle is originally from Arkansas, where she completed her bachelor’s in Biology before traveling further south to Louisiana to complete her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology. Her research focused on understanding the lifecycle of cancer-causing viruses within the oral epithelium to determine specific host proteins required for their replication. Aside from teaching, she enjoys hiking, painting, going to concerts, or enjoying crab, and crawfish boils with friends and family.

Josh Carey, Groundskeeper

Josh was born in Seoul, South Korea.  He moved around as a child and landed in Fond du Lac in the 90’s, where he attended elementary and middle school and was the first graduating class from the new high school. He moved around the country, but gravitated back to this area.  Josh and his wife, children and dogs live in Campbellsport. They love the outdoors, art and music (although he says he can’t carry a tune).  Josh also loves to work on, customize and race all types of motorcycles.  Deep fried perch is his fish fry fish.

Aracely Torres, Financial Aid Counselor

Aracely was born in Milwaukee, but grew up in Fond du Lac, since age four. She has two sisters (Eliana and Nora) and two brothers (Francisco and Emiliano) and she is the oldest in her family. Her big news (besides a new job at Marian)? She was recently engaged during the solar eclipse in Indiana, last April and her wedding date is May 17th, 2025!  She enjoys biking, walks in nature, documentaries, drawing, and going to church. She and her finance have adopted six kitties, which, she says are a lot of work – but are worth it.

Stephanie Trendowski, Assistant Professor, Business

Stephanie has been teaching business in higher education for seven years, in the field of business. Outside of being a professor, she is a Maternal Health Ambassador, community leader as one of the Northwest Indiana (NWI) Influential Women, and 20 under 40 in Business. She resides in Crown Point Indiana with her family and rescue dogs and spends four days a week as a Fond du Lac resident.  Her hobbies include traveling, both domestically and internationally, reading, spending time with her 8-year-old daughter, going to the beach at Lake Michigan, volunteering for animal rescue, puzzles, and crafting.  She’s not picky about the fish fry fish.  Her favorite is fish and chips in Ireland.

Stephanie Carpenter, Director of Student Involvement

Stephanie is originally from upstate New York and just moved to Wisconsin with her partner Joe and their German Shepard rescue dog Oakley! A fun fact about Stephanie is that she loves music and has learned to play 15 instruments, and she taught band lessons and band classes grade 6-12.  What’s the most unusual instrument she plays?  The bassoon.  She used to be more involved in theater and her last role was as Sandy in Grease.

Marshall Harris, Security Guard

Marshall was born in Waukegan, IL, but raised in Gurnee. He also has his own carpet and floor cleaning company called Immaculate Carpet and Floor Cleaning, LLC.  His side interests are family, basketball, and ultimately seeking to bring people into a closer relationship with Christ. His fish fry choice is haddock, because it is meatier fish. He and his wife, Macy, have two children, Jude, 3 and Lucia, 3 months.  He says, “I am a person of prayer, so if anyone sees me and would like me to add them into my daily prayers and intentions, I will always be available.”

Christina Lyman, Residence Hall Director

Christina grew up in Southwest Florida until moving to Wisconsin/Illinois 6 years ago. In her free time she loves trivia, going to the movies, reading, exercising, and traveling to name a few. Her and her husband have an Australian Shepard/Black Lab mix named Bellatrix and have quite a large family between the two of them including 9 siblings (6 are mine) and 12 nieces and nephews.

Jenna Betts, Admission Counselor in Adult and Online Studies

Jenna is originally from Clare, MI.  Her family still lives there, so she tries to make frequent trips back to visit them.  Her dog, Yahtzee, an English Springer Spaniel stays with her parents, adding extra joy to her visits.  Jenna is passionate about fitness and loves spending time at the gym working out.  In addition to staying active, she enjoys immersing herself in books and watching a variety of TV shows and movies.  Her fish fry choice is Perch. She is on her way to becoming a Double Sabre – this fall, she will start her master’s program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology.

Noelle Vogels, Residence Hall Director

Noelle is originally from De Pere, WI.  She is a Marian University alumna, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an Athletic Coaching minor.  She also played on the women’s basketball team at Marian. Right now, she is working on earning her Masters in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Marian.  She has two older sisters and she loves all things sports (playing, watching, working out). Even though she is from the Green Bay area, she is a Minnesota Vikings fan.  That might be why her favorite color is purple. Forget the fish fries, her favorite food is pasta.

Lauryn Binversie, Executive Assistant to the President

Lauryn was born in Oshkosh, but has lived in Fond du Lac most of her life. When Lauryn and her husband have free time, they like trying new restaurants in the area, golfing, and traveling.  In the near future, they would like to go on an Alaskan cruise.  On a Friday night, she enjoys haddock at a classic Wisconsin supper club.

Dawn McClyman, Payroll Administrator

Dawn is originally from Mayville, WI.  She has been working in the accounting field for 21 years and has an associate’s degree in Accounting, but would like to get her bachelor’s.
